In early 2000 I contacted the practice because I was getting an unusual pain down my left side. After researching on Google, the symptoms could be kidney disease or at worst even cancer. I phoned the practice to arrange a doctor call back. After explaining my symptoms and worries, the doctor said "Oh, it's early days yet, take pain killers". I did just that for several months but the pain got worse. I called the practice again and asked if I could have a scan to see what the problem was. I was told "Sorry, we don't do scans for kidney problems". Some time later I was seeing a nurse at the practice for something routine. After telling the nurse about my worsening pain, she arranged for me to have a scan. This was about 18 months after me first reporting my problem. I had the scan, and the result was that, yes I do have cancer, but because it has been left too long, it would now be impossible to operate and remove it. The result being that I have suffered another 2 years of pain, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and palliative care. Well, I have now died and am out of the pain I have suffered myself and put my family through. If I was able to write my own death certificate, I would probably but cause of death HGP.

Since the change in the reception team, being able to get an appointment when needed has been great. The doctors are helpful and understanding. The MH practitioner is brilliant, he was so good to talk to when I needed help with depression and anxiety whilst waiting for counselling.

Disgraceful call back from a so called professional in regards to my 6 year old autistic child. Shocking phone manor and attitude. Will be making a formal complaint and taking further.

I had a telephone appointment regarding a potential food allergen and instead was fobbed off saying there's no point and it's not worth been tested, and instead been told that it's because I'm overweight and have an infection, which I don't have one!

Doctor was unprofessional, dismissive and couldn't even get my age correct, I also could hear what sounded like kids in the background.

I know everyone’s experiences are different but I can fault the service from Hazelwood since I moved here 3 years ago

Absolutely shocking & totally disgusted- how dare you treat vulnerable people reaching out this way. Whom ever is managing the reception staff & this practise needs to be accountable. 17 phone calls later& that was just today, been phoning since Monday - I did eventually speak to Dr having been diverted to 111 twice unnecessarily. Clearly a default tactic by receptionist staff to get us off the phone! Feel for them fronting a sinking ship. No wonder the nhs is in such a shocking state . No accountability or care exists! Bet you’re coining it in though with various campaigns you’ve signed up to that you’ll prioritise. Management take a good look at yourselves!

An utterly disgraceful doctors . My father has been waiting for so long for referrals and appointements to get heart surgery . The receptionist’s answer is always the same scripted answer of lack of staff and no appointments . Without the doctors referral for all the relevant tests my father is edging further away from being able to get this lifesaving operation . Totally disgusting . It’s just a basic level of care that should be adhere to . I can’t quite believe that in 2023 this is how we are expected to live yet our taxes to pay for services like this are through the roof . Shame on all of you at Hazelwood practice !
